Bought this pedal to use as a clean boost and to gain-stack with my other overdrive/distortion pedals. Still getting to grips with it in order to get the best out of it, but works well with my variety of single-coil and humbucker equipped guitars. Needs careful setting to use as a true overdrive pedal as the mids radically increase as the Drive is increased.
Great pedal though, should have bought it 6 months ago when they were £40-45 :-)

I have no idea how it compares to an original Klon (not many of us can afford one), but I am definitely happy with the sound I am getting out of this pedal. You can go from clean boost to pretty distorted, and the pedal always cleans up nicely when rolling back the volume on the guitar.
