Since guitar pedals tend to emphasize the middle and high frequencies, they're not really the best option for keyboard players. Fortunately, Lounsberry Pedals and Roger Powell have thoughtfully designed a special series of pedals that all cater to keyboards, including this Organ Grinder here. Fitted with a so-called clonewheel, it's an intriguing bit of kit that makes for an award-winning team in combination with a Wurlitzer or Fender Rhodes, and can make a world of difference when it comes to authentic instrument sound.

So, the Lounsberry OGO-1 Organ Grinder is a true bypass-ready preamp/overdrive pedal designed to simulate tube-sound, and truth be told, it's quite a successful design at that. A touch of overdrive quickly results in authentic tone, and the more you turn it up, the closer you'll get to the sound of tube amps in old leslie speakers (so Roger says). Next to a true bypass switch, the Organ Grinder is outfitted with a Level and a Drive pot.

The steel housing of the OGO-1 sports a candy apple red powder coating and steam-punk artwork by artist Mark Herschberger. In terms of power supply, you can either pop in a 9V battery or hook up a 9V adapter (neither are included, unfortunately).
