This little red monster features a cool black graphic and an equally cool and fitting name: the Killing Floor. What's more, this effects pedal for electric guitars does exactly what its name implies; it kills it! The Killing Floor is an all-in-one volume boost and musical amp-like overdrive pedal, and although Seymour Duncan classifies it as a High Gain Boost, the pedal gives a particularly bluesy sound making it suitable for many different genres. You can either use it to boost your overall volume, to push your tube amp even further into overdrive, or you can simply use it as an always-on pedal to give your sound that extra pizazz. And when they say boost, they're not kidding, since the Killing Floor can add up to a whopping 34 dB of extra gain.

Killing Floor: killer performance

This effects pedal doesn't simply add a bit of gain, it also allows you to pick which type of gain you want with the 3-way switch. High boost will give you a 7 dB boost at 10 kHz, the flat setting gives an equal boost over all frequencies, and the high cut gives you a decrease of 3 dB at 4.8 kHz. This way, you can make your humbuckers sound a bit brighter, or your single coils less shrill, for example. The effects pedal is powered by an optional 9V DC adapter or 9V battery, neither of which are included. Whether you're the king of blues, or stirring it up as a metal-shredder, the Seymour Duncan Killing Floor will kill it every time!
