General
Native Instruments' Traktor Kontrol S2 Mk3 is the latest version of their 4-deck, 2-channel DJ controller. Naturally, it works seamlessly with the included Traktor 4 Pro software. The controller has a compact design and a robust aluminium finish which means you can take it just about anywhere. It's easy to use as well thanks to two 14 cm jog wheels, well laid out controls and RGB buttons that provide visual feedback.
Traktor DJ App Support
The Traktor Kontrol S2 Mk3 is fully compatible with Traktor DJ for iPhone or iPad which means you can prepare your sets anywhere. With the Traktor DJ app you can do things like make playlists, set cue points and more. The app can even be used to add real-time effects to your performance.

Nice product and fine if you want to use the bundled software. Problem for me is unlike the Mk1 and MK2 versions of this product this doesn't have a MIDI mode so you can't use it with the likes of Algoriddim's DJ2 etc.
The NI team won't give a date to add this even when it looks like the whole of the Internet has been asking for months.
Shame really!

Vandaag gekocht en vandaag succesvol geïnstalleerd. Super gebruiksvriendelijk, software installeren en gelijk geluid er kunnen krijgen. Het mooie van dit apparaat is dat het is afgestemd op de Traktor software. De licentie die erbij zit is Pro 3 maar met registratie bij Native sturen zij je een licentie code voor Pro 4 de meest recente versie. Super goede service van hun. Alles netjes snel geleverd door Bax.

Goede controller om mee te starten. Uitstekende kwaliteit voor de prijs en de bijgeleverde software is snel aan te leren. Kan wel maar twee decks bedienen, voor bepaalde genres ga je al er al snel vier willen hebben. Enige minpuntje, crossfader klikt niet vast in het center.

Ik ben overtuigd van het fijne gebruik van deze controller.
Maar ik heb er helaas nog geen plezier aan gehad.
Ik kan zo terug naar Bax omdat de midi connectie van mijn main volume niet werkt. En de jack-output helaas ook niet. De midi mapping kan je ook niet aan passen met de midi-editor van Native Instruments want de templates zijn enkel gemaakt voor een Kontrol S2 MK2 en de S4.
Maar ik heb er helaas nog geen plezier aan gehad.

Had voor de kerstborrel snel een DJ controller nodig en Bax had nog een B-stock liggen dus dat was top. Installatie ging soepel en Traktor werkt zo fijn! De controller zelf doet wat hij moet doen en alles werkt naar behoren. De avond was een succes en hopelijk volgen er meer.
