General
With the DJM-750, Pioneer has introduced a worthy successor for the DJM-700, which isn't available anymore. It's also a convenient addition to the DJM mixer series, which up until now didn't offer a four-channel mixer below the DJM-850.
The DJM-750: a simple setup that's easy to use
If you're looking for a full-fledged Pioneer DJ mixer, but only have a limited budget to spend, your search ends here. Like its predecessor, the DJM-750 offers all the essentials your need for your DJ sets, without any unnecessary bells and whistles.
Layout and finish of the DJM-750-K
With its attractive black finish, the Pioneer DJM-750-K really looks the part of a high-segment DJ mixer, but comes with a more budget-friendly mid-range price tag. Combine the mixer with a set of CDJ-850 players, and you have an excellent basic setup for home use, or for clubs that don't have the budget for top-segment gear.
The Pioneer mixer's new features
Thanks to a new Boost Colour FX function, using the mixer's Sound Colour FX and Beat FX becomes even more fun. By pressing the Boost FX button, you can get creative adding a second layer of effects. As such, you'll be able to control the parameters for both effects with a single knob, which makes life much easier. The DJM-750's effects module features two new effects (Vinyl Brake and Bass Generator) and two enhanced effects (Roll, Robot). The familiar wet/dry parameters have been enhanced as well, and you can use the Beat Left/Right buttons and manual Time Control function to seamlessly sync your effects with the beats of your tracks.
The DJM-750-K mixer's USB port
Even though it doesn't offer the exact same funtionality as the DJM-850 or the DJM-900 Nexus, the DJM-750 makes mixing just as fun and creative. In fact, it cleverly borrows some of the technology of those other Pioneer mixers. The DJM-750-K has the same 32-bit processor as the DJM-900 Nexus, for instance, and the same four-channel 24-bit USB audio interface as the DJM-850. Once you connect the mixer to your laptop, the user-friendly Pioneer interface automatically pops up on your screen, making it easy to route your signals when you're working with DJ software. The mixer's functions are fully MIDI-assignable, so you can decide for yourself whether you want the buttons to control your mixer or your software.
