Pioneer DJ DJM-750MK2 DJ Mixer

General

The DJM-750MK2 is the follow-up to Pioneer's popular DJM-750 DJ mixer and features subtle enhancements that more demanding DJs are sure to appreciate. In terms of design and functionality, the DJM-750MK2 certainly resembles the DJM-900NXS2. Look a little close and you'll notice that the sound colour FX (Dub Echo, Sweep, Noise and Filter) are now on the left-hand side and on the right, you'll find a comprehensive effects section with eleven time-based effects. This model also enables you to adjust effects per frequency which means you can apply an effect to the vocals, for instance, without it adding effects to anything else you might have going on at the same time.

New features

There are more changes and little upgrades to the features that come with the DJM-750MK2. The microphone connection (XLR/TRS combo) is now located on the rear along with the USB-B connection for your laptop. The rec out, digital master out and fader start control have been replaced with two master outputs (XLR and RCA) and a booth out (jack). On the top right, there's a send/return section with USB for Toraiz modules and iOS devices for example. To prevent distortion at higher volume, there's a special clip indicator right above the master VU meter. What's more, you can fine-tune the channel fader curves any way you like and create seamless transitions using the MagVel crossfader.

Professional sets

One important aspect of the MK2 is that while it's not that much of a difference to the DJM-900NXS2, it's actually more affordable. If you're still not entirely convinced, then the 3-band EQ might push you over the edge. With it, you can cut off or isolate a normal curve completely. The display on the right-hand side keeps you on top of everything at a glance, so you can make quick adjustments as needed, without having to stare at your mixer for an entire set. Lastly, it features a highly convenient dual headphone socket (mini and jack). What more could you possibly want?
