Dave Smith of Dave Smith Instruments and Pioneer joined forces to develop the Toraiz AS-1 monophonic analogue synthesizer, based on the DSI Prophet-6. The AS-1 is guaranteed to deliver a wide array of warm, edgy, and super-fat synth sounds for use in the studio as well as on stage. Thanks to the intuitive controls, you can add subtle and/or dramatic changes to customise your sound. You can also utilise the touch pad keyboard and ribbon slider to gain access to sounds you never thought were possible!

Toraiz AS-1: a true prophet

At the core of the Toraiz AS-1, there is a fully-programmable, true analogue synthesis engine based on the analogue circuitry of the Dave Smith Prophet-6. It features two oscillators (VCO) with variable triangle, sawtooth or pulse waveforms. The sound can be adjusted by means of two filters (VCF), a 4-pole resonant low-pass filter that also oscillates, and a 2-pole resonant high-pass filter. The seven effects in the Prophet-6 have also been incorporated into the AS-1, and include delay, chorus and phaser; in addition, there's a brand-new digital distortion. Also, there's a 64-step sequencer and an arpeggiator function so you can create the wildest sound patterns imaginable!

High-quality and versatile

As soon as you take the Toraiz AS-1 out of the box, you'll find it's equipped with 495 presets that all deliver top-notch Dave Smith synth sounds so you can make music right away! When you've got the hang of this instrument, and you've created your own sound, you can store it under one of the other 495 presets (divided into 5 banks). The AS-1 is compatible with your current synth setup thanks to its MIDI connections, and if you own the Toraiz SP-16, you'll find it can be integrated seamlessly with the AS-1, resulting in an ultimate DJ setup. Finally, you can access world-class synth sounds in a compact device, known as the Pioneer Toraiz AS-1 Monophonic Analogue Synthesizer!

Amazing essentially a single voice of the Prophet 6 and its effects! Probably even sounds better than P6 for bass and lead due to mono gain staging. I was in two minds, but I'm so glad I picked this up. Make sure you also check out the SoundTower VST editor for deep editing and total recall in DAW.

Ik ben heel tevreden over deze geweldige analoge mono synth Toraiz AS-1, hij klinkt en staat als een huis, de vele mogelijkheden die deze AS-1 bied tot geluidsprogrammering en vooral ook de de grote opslag zijn een groot pluspunt. Dave Smith en Pioneer hebben hier een gouden samenwerking tot stand gebracht. Als je deze AS-1 aansluit om samen te werken met de Toraiz SP-16 is dit een totale droomcombinatie. Een echte aanrader voor elke DJ/Producer. Met de Editor kan je alles van je synth tot heel diep aanpassen en zelfs nog Extra's.

Bax Music zorgde voor een snelle levering,en leuke prijs, top service Bax!!!

Complet au niveau midi.

Je le recommanderais a d autres personne.

Eerst en vooral Bax Music, super snelle levering, dank je!

ik keek uit om nog een Dave Smith in huis te halen , natuurlijk met de kennis dat Pioneer er een groot aandeel zou in hebben.
De synth kocht ik aan om vooral in de studio te gebruiken en niet zo zeer als een dj toestel.
qua sound kan je hem echt wel vergelijken met alle andere DSI producten , deep warm en analoog. net als andere DSI is het een allrounder (monophonic) en niet zo zeer een synth met een apart karakter .
De interface is gemakkelijk te gebruiken en menu diving valt goed mee. en de gratis Editor is natuurlijk een extra bonus die we al kennen van de andere DSI modules . wat deze synth een plus punt geeft boven de Mopho is dat er 2 fx processors aan boord zijn , een volledig programmeerbare 64 step Sequencer per klank. (je kan ze ook gewoon opnemen via midi in het toestel zelf). 490 Factory presets , snappy envelops en ga zo maar door.
Wat me echter belet om deze synth 5 sterren te geven is het feit dat de synchronisatie met midi een beetje de wensen overlaat. (usb & midi) in studio environment ,. in logic en live. heeft de synth minsten 1 bar nodig om de bpm te syncen met de externe klok. Iets wat in 2017 een beetje raar is en ook het feit dat het dj gericht heel belangrijk is een 100% werkende sync functie te hebben maakt dat ik deze "nog " niet aan iedereen kan aanraden .

Zelf ben ik een doorwinterde synthesizer verzamelaar en programmeur dus ik vind steeds wel omwegen om dingen op te lossen. maar ik heb Pioneer toch aangeschreven dit op te lossen.... misschien in één van hun volgende updates.

al bij al ben ik toch blij met deze synthesizer die meer te bieden heeft dan het prijskaartje doet vermoeden .
