Allen & Heath's classy silver Xone:96 DJ mixer is in a league of its own. It features two audio interfaces and gives you control of no fewer than eight input channels, or rather six + two. DJs who are familiar with the Xone:92 will surely recognise a lot of functionality in this new-and-improved version. For those who aren't, get ready to have your mind blown with possibilities. This club mixer gives you more flexibility than ever with four 4-band equalizers and two 3-band parametric EQs. With two independent filter strips at your disposal, you can choose between low, band and high-pass filters, and determine the resonance and frequency as well. As an added bonus, the Xone:96 features a special Crunch option that gives your pre-filter sound an awesome harmonic overdrive.

All this is just the tip of the iceberg. The Xone:96 also has an Innofader Mini as crossfader and two master volume controls with many send/return options on the rear. As well as normal phono/line inputs, you'll also find media/turntables (the Xone:96 is DVS-ready with Traktor Scratch Pro 2), two master outputs and eight stereo jacks. Three of these are for sending the signal through to drum machines, effects pedals or other outboard gear while the remaining five allow the signal to come back in. This mixer is the ideal device for creative DJs who like to fill their booth with gear. There's also an X:Link connection for the Xone:K series gear and a MIDI output for MIDI-driven equipment.
