The Rane Seventy-Two Battle Mixer features a touchcreen, Mag Three contactless faders and two USB inputs for connecting controllers so that DJs can scratch on the fly using their own laptop. The mixer is also equipped with 16 Akai Pro MPC performance pads that have RGB backlighting, an adjustable threshold and aftertouch. Above the performance pads are five function button pads that offer ten different functions in conjunction with the shift control. The primary functions are Cue, Auto Loop, Roll, Sampler and Slicer, while the secondary functions are Pitch Play, Manual Loop, Pad FX, Fader FX and Transport. The tension of the three Mag Three faders (one crossfader and two channel faders) can be adjusted and there are also cut-in and contour controls and reverse switches.
For the Serious Scratch DJ
The Rane Seventy-Two Battle Mixer has a 4.3-inch high-resolution touchscreen that shows information including the vertical waveforms and tracks from your Serato DJ library and gives you the ability to adjust mixer options. Each channel has its own Flex FX engine as well access to stacked Serato DJ effects giving you up to four effects per channel (1 Flex FX and 3 Serato DJ effects). Each effect has its own on/off control. The Seventy-Two Battle Mixer also has a 3-band EQ per channel with gain and filter controls, a phono/line and aux selector switch. Other controls include a sampler volume, master and booth output, headphone cue mix and levels.
