Rane DJ's Seventy-Two & Twelve Ready for Battle!
Rane has announced two new battle-ready products that are exactly what DJs need to slay the competition! The Rane Seventy-Two Battle Mixer and the Rane Twelve Battle Controller are must-haves for DJ scratch fanatics. They both have a steel exterior which is extremely robust and offers a clean look that contrasts beautifully with the brightly-coloured controls and displays. Read on to find out more.
Rane Seventy-Two Battle Mixer
The Rane Seventy-Two Battle Mixer has a 4.3-inch high-resolution touchscreen that shows information including the vertical waveforms and tracks from your Serato DJ library and gives you the ability to adjust mixer options. There's a 3-band EQ per channel and an effects section where you can set up to four presets (3 software controlled and 1 from the Seventy-Two's Flex FX Engine) for use just when you need them. The 16 Akai Pro MPC performance pads feature RGB backlighting and are touch sensitive with aftertouch. The pads can be assigned to one of ten different modes (5 primary and 5 secondary). For even more information on the Rane Seventy-Two Battle Mixer, take a look at the product page.
Rane Twelve Battle Controller
The Rane Twelve Battle Controller is a powerful motorised DJ control system like nothing else. It offers all of the advantages of a traditional direct-drive turntable without a tone arm or stylus giving you the precision and durability of the best digital-based solutions too! The size and layout are the same as a standard turntable with the controller featuring a special 12-inch motorised platter. The tone arm functionality has been replaced by a precision, multi-function touch strip that is used to search through tracks and set and trigger hot cues. Directly under that are four buttons that allow you to select one of up to four decks. There's also a precision pitch slider, pitch range select controls and a motor-off switch for traditional wind-down effects.
You'll find more information on the Rane Twelve Battle Controller on the product page. We'll provide more information on pricing and delivery times as soon as it's available. We hope to have both products ready for delivery in October.
