You're a DJ, or you're a musician, or even a full band, and you want a light show. Not a crazy thought in itself, since light increases the impact of your act. But then again, you need that light-jockey, maybe you don't have the budget for it. In fact, maybe you don't feel like making a whole lighting plan at all. You invest in a crate full of lights and you don't really want to spend more time on it. For that group of customers, the LimbicMedia MaestroDMX is a godsend. This product is basically the light-jonkey. It analyses the music you send to it, then the MaestroDMX itself comes up with an appropriate light show - in real time - and sends out the DMX parameters. It's all in one DMX universe, so there are 512 parameters available. If you have about eight lights, and a few more movingheads, 512 is really more than enough. Just go figure, if you have ten fixtures (lamps, movingheads etc.) with eight adjustable parameters each, you come to a total of 'only' 80 parameters out of 512. So for bands, that DMX universe is really enough.
