General
The Stentor SR1598A 4/4 double bass is the ideal foundation for anyone wishing to finish the instrument themselves. This double bass, in a rough, semi-finished version, offers a solid foundation thanks to the use of solid spruce for the top, combined with solid maple for the sides and back. The fingerboard is also made entirely of ebony. This 4/4 model is intended for the advanced luthier or restorer who wishes to work with high-quality timbers to finish the playable instrument entirely to their own specifications.
