General
Moulded from near-unbreakable polyethylene, the SKB Roto Shallow Rack is a super-heavy-duty double-door flight case offering water and impact proof protection for 3U of gear. This ultra-strong case is actually fairly compact; has been designed in such a way that a few them can be neatly stacked; comes fitted with sunken hinges and handles; and the rubber feet fitted to the base ensure maximum stability. SKB have thoughtfully included a pack of rack-mounting screws, and if this three-unit rack is a little too big or small for your needs, it's also available in various different sizes.

Duur stukje plastic. De case an sich is prima. Solide, stapelbaar. Ik heb wel een paar minpunten: de klemmen voelen fragiel en simpel aan. De brackets zitten niet helemaal vlak aan de voorkant, waardoor je de schroeven er onder een kleine hoek in moet schroeven. Het zakje met 12 schroeven was roestig van binnen en de opdruk zei dat er ook zogenaamde nut retainer clips in moesten zitten, maar die ontbraken.

Precies wat ik hoopte. Stevig, weegt weinig ten opzichte van andere racken en voelt als of het een tijd mee gaat. Enige nadeel is de niet EU standaard schroefmaat waardoor er "speciale engelse" schroeven bij besteld moeten worden als je meer dan 3HE aan 1 kant wilt bevestigen. Hopelijk heb ik hier lang plezier van, maar voor nu voelt de case beter aan dan veel concurrenten.

Erg solide case, het was geen probleem om dit mee te nemen met een KLM vlucht als handbagage. Erg fijn en robuust. Er zitten 12 boutjes bij, lijkt M4 maar deze passen helaas niet. Doorsnede van de boutjes lijkt 3,5mm te zijn.
Verder, de deksels zijn lekker stevig en hebben geen speling. Ga er een aantal meer bestellen.

Laat je niet kisten. Dit is TOP spul.
Goed materiaal, stevig, handzaam.
Tegenwoordig alle randapparatuur inzitten zodat we flexibel zijn met configuraties.

Ik kocht deze kist en twijfelde tussen een Gator en deze. (ik had reeds 3 gator cases)
De Gator kost de helft (of een heel stuk minder), echter deze is wel beter.
Vooral het stapelen is gewoon veel beter.
Het blijft veel beter op elkaar staan en is wat minder glad dan de Gator case.
nog een belangrijk verschil is dat de sloten op de deksels zitten, in de plaats van op de kist.
Dat laatste is eerder voorkeur, maar neem dat mee in je beslissing.
