Drummers around the world know what it's like to never have enough space for your kit. That's why Tama came up with the Cocktail JAM Mini kit that fits into just two gig bags thanks to compact shells and a practical, space-saving tube and clamp system. Compared to a regular Cocktail JAM kit, each shell in the Mini kit is 2 inches smaller in diameter. That means the horizontal bass drum is 14x6 inches, the tom is 8x5 inches, the floor tom is 12x5 inches and the snare is 10x5 inches. This kit also includes an arm for a cymbal and a set of hi-hats as well as a special bass drum pedal on top of the two gig bags mentioned previously. It has a fancy red finish called Candy Apple Mist.
Birch
In terms of volume, the Cocktail JAM Mini kit is not as loud as a full-sized one, of course, but that doesn't mean it's any less good in terms of quality. The shells are made of birch and fitted with Sound Arc hoops for a surprisingly full sound. To add some extra punch, the bass drum comes with a Sound Focus Pad muffler. This kit is ideal for musical styles like jazz and hip-hop, and fits the bill for intimate acoustic venues, small rehearsal spaces and even busking. Seeing as the whole kit fits into just two bags, it's as portable as you are!

Almost halfway through 2017, Tama presents new editions of the Cocktail JAM drum kit. There are three new colours and a new configuration too, the Cocktail JAM Mini! This new version has shells that are all 2 inches smaller than the standard JAM and is also available in three colours. Both models are easily transported in two gig bags.
