The Club Jam Flyer is Tama's latest great addition to their catalogue. This 4-piece shell set is suitable for adults but thanks to the little bass drum, an equally interesting option for young and ambitious drummers. It far exceeds the quality of toy sets and makes for a great first kit for kids as young as the age of six. All the shells have been wrapped in a Candy Apple Mist colour finish and considering the price tag, it's rather remarkable that a drum throne, bass drum pedal, snare drum stand and hi-hat stand come included. Even the beautiful, wooden hoops on the bass drum are something you won't quickly find on similar kits.

Tama have obviously taken proper notice of the fact that there are more of these compact shell sets available and as such, have thoughtfully outfitted the Club Jam Flyer with extended floortom legs, so that tall people too can comfortably play and position the floortom . This 4-piece set includes a 14 x 10" bass drum, an 8 x 6" tom, a 10 x 9" floortom and a 10 x 5" snare. The bassdrum has been mounted with an optional cymbal arm holder and the tom holder also features an extra clamp for an optional cymbal arm while for the bass drum, a riser has been thrown in. As we've mentioned earlier, hardware comes included as well.

Suitable for Drum Lessons? Yes and No.

Most people that take drum lessons play on a kit consisting of two toms and a floortom, but the Club Jam Flyer only comes with a single tom and floortom. Is that a bad thing? In all fairness, yes and no. In order to learn basic drum rhythms, you don't need a second tom. In fact, plenty of professional drummers never use their second tom. It's only when you start mastering drum fills that you're likely going to need an additional one and you want to be aware of this if you're a beginner looking to purchase this set. While it's more than capable as a first-ever, you will be 'missing' a tom to practice a range of rhythms and methods. If you pack a little more experience as a drummer and would like a fun little kit for home use or small gigs, the Tama Club Jam Flyer is an excellent choice.
