One of the most popular drum kits ever sold by Yamaha is available in a new-and-improved edition, the JSBP2F5NW Stage Custom Birch Natural Wood shell set. This set features the very latest technology and comes in a true American rock configuration: a 22-inch bass drum, 10 and 12-inch toms, a 16-inch floor tom and a 14 x 5.5-inch snare.

Birch

The shells in the improved Yamaha Stage Custom Birch shell set are made of six plies of birch. This type of wood produces especially high volume levels, which makes this set particularly suitable for live performances. It's a shell set with a powerful attack and excellent projection.

Yamaha Stage Custom Birch Natural Wood: unique tom holder

The toms in this shell set are suspended with the help of Yamaha's Y.E.S.S. system, which is a special tom holder that retains the unique tone of the drum. It's designed to allow the toms to resonate freely, resulting in optimal sound projection. What's more, it ensures that dynamic details are easily discernible so you can play with plenty of expression!

Placing the toms close together is possible thanks to the tom holder's central positioning. It's also easy to adjust and tilt once the toms are in place, and you can even rotate them completely to tune the bottom drum head without removing them from the holder.
