Of course you can place this Ahead practice pad on a table or other flat surface; the bottom is fitted with soft rubber padding that prevents it from sliding around. As such, you can even place it on your snare drum without damaging the batter head. Finally, when, after countless hours of paradiddles, rolls and triple ratamacues, you've finally worn out the striking surface, you can simply replace it!
