General
These S5AWN Super 5A drum sticks by Zildjian are a bit longer than a conventional 5A stick, and the diameter is a bit larger as well. The longer length and thicker stalk advantageous because it makes the stick more comfortable to hold and offers extra striking power. The stick is made of hickory-walnut wood and features a natural finish with an acorn-shaped tip. This economical bundle has 12 pairs of Super 5As for an excellent price!

Na een lange zoektocht uiteindelijk, op aanraden van een muziekvriend, deze stokken eens geprobeerd.
Het voelde meteen vertrouwd en speel nu al enkele jaren met de Super 5A.

Goede drumstokken voor het zwaardere werk.
Ik gebruik de drumstokken op mijn edrum en ze voelen een stukje dikker en zwaarder aan dan bijvoorbeeld de 5A van Vic. Je merkt een behoorlijk verschil tussen de stokken tijdens het spelen.
Voor de wat hardere stukken spelen ze heerlijk zwaar maar wil je wat meer snelheid en een betere terugslag op een edrum dan raad ik ze niet aan. Je voelt ook dat je handen/polsen sneller vermoeid raken met deze stokken, gewoon omdat je harder moet werken want die terugslag heb je niet echt. De 5A van Vic (met een uitstekende terugslag) is toch een tikje beter voor een allround speelstijl.
Bestelling en levering bij Bax ging uitstekend, zoals altijd.

Zijn vast prima stokken, maar ze zijn groter en zwaarder dan ik van 5A gewend ben. Heb ze dus retour gestuurd en geruild met 5A stokken, prima geregeld via Bax
