Promark took a hard look at the design of its sticks to see how they could be improved. The starting point was that the thickness, length and tip shape could remain the same. The result is the Select Balance series, with a distinction between Rebound and Forward Balance. The difference is in the shoulder of the sticks. In this RBH565AW Rebound Balance, the shoulder is stretched longer, so there is more weight at the back of the stick. As a result, the sticks bounce very smoothly. This makes them suitable for drummers where finesse and agility are key. The counterpart Forward Balance is more suitable for power and speed.

Hickory with drop-shaped tip

These sticks are made of hickory, the most commonly used type of wood for drumsticks because of its good weight-to-wear ratio. The tip has a drop shape with a large contact surface. This means they give a full, dark sound on drums, but especially on cymbals. With a 5A thickness, they are all-purpose and the most widely used thickness around the world.
