General

Promark have had a good look at their current stick design and enhanced it. The diameter, length, and tip shape have remained the same while the shoulder has been improved, resulting in the Select Balance series, with a distinction between Rebound and Forward Balance sticks. The RBH565AW Rebound Balance sticks feature an elongated shoulder, which means the weight of the stick is at the back. This allows for a smoother rebound, which drummers who play with a lot of finesse and skill are sure to appreciate. Its counterpart, Forward Balance, is designed for more speed and power.

Hickory with teardrop tip

These sticks are made of hickory, which is the most commonly used wood type for drum sticks due to its light weight and durability. The tip is teardrop shaped and has a large contact area. These sticks can therefore deliver a full, dark sound on drums and cymbals in particular. They're a popular 5A model that's versatile enough for any type of music!

Prima stokken, Krachtige slag mofelijk .Ik had de top iets tonvormiger verwacht omdat ik een redelijk vlakke slag maak past dat wat beter.

Wrote the following about Promark RBH565AW Rebound Balance 5A drumsticks with teardrop tip

Eigenlijk heb ik nog nooit frequent met een andere drumstick dan de klassieke Vic Firth 5A's gedrumd, behalve tot kort geleden dan. Ik was een Vic Firth-gebruiker, omdat ik best hard drum, dus de stok moet wel een levensduur hebben.

Vic Firth was even niet leverbaar, dus kwam ik bij Promark terecht en ik moet zeggen: ze doen het verbazend goed!
Ze zijn ietsje zwaarder dan VF naar mijn gevoel en daarom ook wat steviger. Maar er valt zeer snel aan dit kleine gewichtsverschil te wennen. Ik drum hier al langer dan een maand frequent mee. Volgens mij hebben deze sticks een langere levensduur hebben dan de VF's.

Aanrader voor harde drummers? Zeker!

Fantastische stokken. Ik heb altijd Vic Firth 5A gespeeld, maar vind deze stokken na een tijdje altijd slapjes aanvoelen, alsof ze bij elke slag doorbuigen. Ook breken ze snel. Deze Promark stokken lijken precies op de die van Vic Firth en breken niet, maar versplinteren langzaam. Ook voelen de stokken altijd, ook als ze versplinteren, stijf aan. Je kunt ze dus erg lang gebruiken. Topstok!
