Vic Firth has been making drumsticks for decades now, and they have great sticks for every different genre. They designed these 8D drumsticks, which are a little longer than the 7As, especially for lighter styles such as jazz. They're made of durably hickory wood and feature a wood tip that allows for a bright and intense cymbal response.

Stokken zijn een persoonlijke voorkeur en die voorkeur kan in de loop der tijd ook veranderen, maar met Vic Firth heb je in ieder geval kwaliteit! Na vele verschillende stokken te hebben geprobeerd ben ik op deze redelijk gemiddelde stok uitgekomen als nieuwe favoriet.

Vic Firth stokken zijn natuurlijk kwalitatief hele goede stokken, dat weet elke drummer, daar kan ik niets nieuws over melden.
En alle drummers kennen wel de modellen 7A, 5A, 5B, 2B, etc.
Maar als je 7A fijn vind en 5A ook en je kan niet goed kan kiezen, dan is de 8D waarschijnlijk perfect voor jou. Een iets langere 7A, oftewel een iets dunnere 5A, het beste van beide, goed uitgebalanceerd.
Ik vind het een hele fijne allround stok, als ik echt wil beuken pak ik nog wel 's een 5A of 5B, maar over het algemeen hoef ik niet veel te wisselen en kan ik bijna alles spelen met de 8D's.
Het blijft heel persoonlijk, maar als je ze nog niet kent; bestel hier gerust een setje en probeer ze uit!
En alle drummers kennen wel de modellen 7A, 5A, 5B, 2B, etc.
