With the Samson R21S + MD2 tripod, you pick up a nice compact set for - almost certainly - an application not appropriate for a stage. This is typically a configuration you'll see at a roundtable discussion, or maybe just at home next to your computer. A nice Samson microphone, with table stand, clip and XLR cable. Wrote the following about Samson MD2 Desktop Microphone Stand

Bought this not for a table top, but to Put an SM57 in front of an amp. Does the job nicely without taking up much space. Especially compared to even a small regular style mic stand. It’s well made and the base is heavy enough to keep it perfectly in place. All that for a tenner, perfect!
