General
This 18-inch EFX cymbal from Zildjian's K Series is a nice addition to any drum kit, whatever genre you play. The cymbal is handmade and hammered and given a traditional finish. A lot less traditional are the various holes in the cymbal top. These are made with a special laser and provide faster decay and explosive character.
Zildjian K0888 K 18-inch EFX cymbal
Trashy, short and dark; surely that's the best description of what this cymbal sounds like. Compared to Zildjian's A Custom 18 EFX, this cymbal also sounds a lot darker. The volume range is wide, the pitch is relatively low as we are used to from K cymbals, and the sustain is short. As long as you don't accidentally hit one of the holes, ride patterns also come into their own extremely well. A versatile cymbal that fits into any setup, whether you're just starting out or have been playing for years.
