General

These D'Addario EXL170-12 Nickel Wound Light 18-45 bass strings feature a steel core wound with nickel, so you don't just get massive, twelve-string sound but maximum note definition and response. While it still uses the standard E, A, D, G tuning, the twelve-string bass is set up with three strings per note, where the extra two strings per note are tuned exactly an octave higher, increasing the power and boosting the output. This full pack of strings have been exclusively calibrated for twelve string models and have the lighter feel and playability of a .045 to .100 gauged pack.
