The Blackstar Carry-on ST Bass is more than compact and lightweight enough to take on trips yet shapes a traditionally punchy and fully grown sound, courtesy of a poplar body armed with a passive split-coil pickup. In addition, Blackstar have outfitted this travel-ready bass guitar with a two-piece nato neck that comes furnished with an 18-fret laurel fretboard and an abridged 23.46-inch scale length, guaranteeing ample playability for budding beginners and small-handed adults alike.

Ik ben echt onder de indruk van het volle geluid van deze bas. De lage tonen zijn indrukwekkend. Wel zijn er wat boventonen te horen, maar dat is begrijpelijk voor zo’n kleine bas.
Hij is echt super makkelijk mee te nemen op reis en door de “normale” stemming kan je gewoon oefenen zoals op je full scale bas. Wel zijn de frets wat kleiner.
Niet alleen op reis is de bas erg makkelijk maar ook op de bank voor de TV stoot je minder snel je huisgenoten een tand uit uit hun mond ;-)
