The Fender American Ultra II Jazz Bass V is the culmination of over 60 years of perfecting a classic design. Needless to say, you're looking at the most advanced five-string Jazz Bass built to date. The quarter-sawn maple neck not only has a modern D profile and an Ultra-Satin finish, but combines with a compound fretboard radius that runs from 10 inches at the headstock to 14 inches at the body. Add that to the rounded heel, twenty-one medium jumbo frets and Luminlay side dots, and you get nothing short of top-notch playability.
The American Ultra II Jazz Bass V: S-1 Switch
The solid body of the Fender American Ultra II Jazz Bass V is made from select alder and comes loaded with Ultra II Noiseless Vintage Jazz pickups and extensive tone controls, including a two-way mid-range frequency selector switch and a master volume pot equipped with an S-1 switch for toggling between active and passive mode. This opens up a broad tonal spectrum, while the adjustable HiMass bridge supports both top-loader and string-through-body set-ups, guaranteeing satisfying flexibility across the board.
