Boasting iconic style elements and advanced perks, the Fender American Ultra II Meteora Bass is designed to take your bass game to the next level. The bulk of the build is formed by an ergonomically contoured alder body, which comes equipped with a set of Fender Haymaker Bass humbuckers that effortlessly deliver deep basses, forceful mids and sultry trebles. Other welcome features include an S-1 switch for toggling between active and passive mode; a dedicated passive tone control; and a 3-band active equalizer with a two-way mid-range frequency selector switch.

As well as a quarter-sawn maple neck with a modern D profile and a velvety Ultra-Satin finish, Fender has opted for a compound fretboard radius, twenty-one medium jumbo frets and rounded fretboard edges, indulging both rhythm and lead-focussed bassists who'll settle for nothing less than maximum playing comfort. Prepped for gigging, this high-end Meteora Bass also features an adjustable HiMass bridge that supports a top-load or string-through-body set-up; Luminlay side dots for eased fretboard navigation in the dark; and a tapered heel. Like every American Ultra II Series model, it comes complete with a deluxe case.

Wrote the following about Fender American Ultra II Meteora Bass MN Solar Flare Electric Bass Guitar with Case

Ik ben reeds in het bezit van een aantal Fender basgitaren. Ditmaal koos ik voor dit eigentijds model. De bas werd geleverd met een mooie met pels gevoerde hardcase. Deze gitaar is tot in de details afgewerkt. Zeer comfortabel bespeelbaar. De bas is ook niet zo zwaar. Levert een breed scala aan geluiden, van diepe bassen en krachtige middenfrequenties tot heldere hoge tonen. Klinkt altijd goed. Leuk extraatje zijn de lichtgevende stippen op de nek voor als je in het donker de weg niet meer vindt. Niet verwacht : op de gitaar stonden er fender-straplock knoppen voor de gitaarriem opgemonteerd (locks voor op de riem zelf waren bijvoegd in de case). Minpunten / Wat ik vind dat wel beter kan is het compartiment voor de batterijen : dit is moeilijk te openen. Houd er ook rekening mee dat de gitaar door haar vorm niet zo goed blijft staan in een gewone gitaarstandaard.
