General
For a long time, the high-spec yet affordable models offered by JET Guitars were a closely guarded secret within the guitar-world and now, with the introduction of the JET JPB-300, bassists can really find out what all the fuss is about. This P-style four-string electric bass might come at an old-school price but boasts some modern design features. Both the solid poplar body and maple neck have been roasted, removing any excess moisture from the wood and boosting the resonance and stability, resulting in richer and deeper sound and a more reliable instrument.
The JET JPB-300: Premium Playing Comfort
The neck has also been given a snug and familiar C-profile and combines with a more modern 12 inch fretboard radius which has a flatter feel under the fret-hand than more traditional P-basses, improving the comfort all the way up to the twentieth fret. What also makes this bass pretty special, considering the price, is the inclusion of a real bone nut: a detail that doesn't just further improve tuning stability but vibrational transfer from the pre-installed set of D’Addario strings to the body. Basically, you're getting maximum comfort and tone in return for a pretty tight investment.
