General

The Schecter J-4 Exotic is a modern 4-string electric bass guitar with a classic J-bass shape and a luxurious choice of woods. The body is made from Swamp Ash and features a Zebrawood top in a Faded Vintage Sunburst finish. The bolt-on neck is made from roasted maple and also features a roasted maple fingerboard. With a scale length of 34 inches (863 mm), a Thin C neck profile and 21 Narrow X-Jumbo frets, this bass offers a comfortable, modern playing experience.

Sound and electronics

The tone is provided by an EMG Metal Works LJ pickup in the bridge position and an EMG Metal Works SJ pickup in the neck position. The controls consist of Master Volume, Blend and an active 2-band EMG EQ. This allows you to easily adjust the tone to suit different playing styles and amplifiers. The Schecter Custom Bass String-Thru bridge supports both string-through-body and top-load string mounting, allowing you to adjust the action and playing feel to your preference.

Finish and hardware

The J-4 Exotic features black hardware and WSC KG400 tuners. The 38 mm wide nut and the 16-inch (406 mm) fingerboard radius complement the instrument’s modern character. The bass is strung with D’Addario Bass Nickel Wound Long Scale NYXL45105 strings, in accordance with the supplied product specifications. The model number for this version is 2926. A matching SCSGR-UNIV6 case is listed as a separately available accessory and is therefore not included.

Bax Music Warranty This product comes with a 3-year warranty.
