General

Sire's new Marcus Miller P6 is not just any bass guitar. In fact, this 5-string bass guitar is extremely lightweight and also boasts a unique look. The body has been manufactured so that unnecessary wood has been removed, which also benefits the resonance and sound of the instrument. The base consists of mahogany, topped by an ash top that has undergone a special sandblasting treatment. This makes the naturally present texture in the wood more visible, which, combined with the minimalist design, gives this bass guitar a unique look. It is available in three colours, with the Butterscotch variant having a rosewood fingerboard and the Black and Surf Green Metallic variants having a maple fingerboard.

Ultimate ease of playing

Besides its light weight, Sire's Edgeless fingerboard, with carefully rounded edges, makes this bass guitar a joy to play. The active tone control, which allows you to adjust the sound from the instrument completely to your liking, also contributes to this. The P6 features rotary knobs to adjust the mid/treble and bass response. Also, a pickup-blend knob, which allows both pickups to be mixed seamlessly, without changing the volume. A master volume knob is then provided for that, of course. It is equipped with a set of Marcus Super-PJ Revolution pickups and chrome-plated hardware.
