Daddario's ECB81SL is a flatwound string set for electric bass guitars. These strings are known for their warm, "mellow" sound and a very comfortable smooth polished feel. Chromes deliver a deep and rich low end making them the ideal choice of Jazz and R&B as well as Reggae and Pop musicians. This super long scale string set is suitable for bass guitars with extra-long necks and scale lengths of up to 38 inches.
Daddario Chromes bass strings are made of high-quality steel wrapped with a flat ribbon of stainless steel. This is then polished to an incredibly smooth surface. This gives you that typical muted but rich sound you can only get with flatwound strings. Moreover, the smooth strings prevent annoying side noises caused by sliding your fingers. Ideal for recording sessions in the studio!
