General
Flatwound strings are gaining popularity and this is all to do with their classic sound reminiscent of the timeless rock and funk records that an entire generation of bassists grew up with and thus had a major influence on contemporary music. In the Dunlop DBFS50110 set you will find steel strings with thicknesses from 0.50 to 1.10 mm that are suitable for any long scale electric bass. Do you want a clenched, powerful sound with clear highs or do you go for the warm, rounded, deep basses that are almost reminiscent of a double bass. This string set can do it all, just give a twist to the tone control.
