Fortunately, Elixir also offers its strings loose, including this 15385 Nanoweb .085 string for electric bass guitar. This is the A string from the Elixir 14077 .045 - .105 string set. Thanks to an ultra-thin Nanoweb coating, the string stays fresher longer and you will enjoy that bright "new string" sound 3 to 5 times longer. Made of nickel-wound steel, this string delivers a full, rich sound with deep basses, punchy mids and sweet trebles.

Why Elixir electric bass guitar strings?

Due to acid from your fingers and moisture in the environment, metal strings can corrode quickly. In addition, oil, sweat and dead skin cells will build up between the windings.
