The GHS 3020 Shortscale Precision Flats is a flatwound string set designed to give the traditional percussion tone of flatwound strings but then with a clear, yet mellow sound. These strings are suitable for both beginners and professionals, are comfortable to play, and are extremely durable. The GHS 3020 Shortscale Precision Flats string set with string diameters of .045, .060, .075, .095 is designed for a short scale bass guitar in standard tuning (E-A-D-G).

Wrote the following about GHS 3020 Precision Flatwound short scale light bass string set
Une erreur communément commise est de penser qu'il faut un tirant moins gros pour une short scale (plus petite basse > moins grosses cordes) ...mais c'est exactement le contraire ! Donc ces flatwounds 45-95 lights ne conviennent pas à une short scale, car vraiment à la limite d'une tension trop faible : ça sonne flabby flabby, à moins d'accorder au moins 1 note plus haut - surtout la corde de mi.
