Purchased for use with a Warwick Corvette Fretless. I was looking for a nice warm, jazzy sound with easy 'sliding' and stable intonation. I wasn't disappointed. After playing for 30 mins the intonation was stable and the sound great. A little treble cut & bass boost gives a nice motown sound even with a solid state amp (and you don't have to wait years for your strings to get as old as Jameson's). Good reports from other band members and musicians. I am not slapping or popping so can't comment on how they'd perform with those techniques. Happy to recommend.

Helaas kreeg ik deze set binnen met een doffe G-snaar. En dat is echt jammer want de andere snaren hebben een prachtige toon.
Na wat onderzoek las ik dat de quality control van Rotosound niet altijd even goed is, en dit een veel voorkomend feit is. En omdat snaren uitgesloten zijn van garantie loop je dus wel risico dat je eigenlijk een beetje geld weggooit. Hou daar dus rekening mee bij aanschaf van deze set!
Na wat onderzoek las ik dat de quality control van Rotosound niet altijd even goed is, en dit een veel voorkomend feit is. En omdat snaren uitgesloten zijn van garantie loop je dus wel risico dat je eigenlijk een beetje geld weggooit. Hou daar dus rekening mee bij aanschaf van deze set!

D en G snaar klinken als flatwounds. E en A snaar klinken als normale felle roundwounds. Geen idee hoe... Maar het ís zo. Bas klinkt nu uit balans, alsof ik in twee oude en Twee nieuwe snaren heb. Slecht!

Fijne flatwounds voor m'n Rickenbacker.
Klinken wat feller en meer hoog, maar dat vind ik wel prettig. Klinken goed door de mix.
Je krijgt er geen typische mellow Jamerson Sound mee en misschien niet de beste voor the Beatles 'ploink' sound.

-Eigenzinnige klank verdwijnt relatief snel.

Als deze snaren net op je bas hebt liggen klinken ze prima, meer hoog dan de meeste ander flatwounds. Na enkele weken gaan ze echter al dood klinken.. Dat is vreemd voor flatwounds. Komt misschien omdat de snaren ruwer zijn dan andere flats en daardoor ook vuil vasthouden. Bij mij ware ze nog sneller dood dan roundwounds. Zonde van het geld geweest.

Ik heb eerst andere flatwounds geprobeerd maar deze vind ik het prettigst. De snaarspanning bij andere flatwounds vond ik te zwaar. Deze spelen lekker en hebben ook de beste dikte voor mij.

cordes de très bonne qualité, son bien précis et qui garde de l'attaque. Son un peu métallique au début mais qui devrait vite s'estomper pour laisser s'exprimer les filets plats, tout en rondeur.
