This JF324 pack includes four high-quality Jazz Flat Wound Series strings that have been specially designed for short-scale bass guitars.
Thomastik JF324 Jazz Flat Wound Strings
These hand-made strings are made of a super-flexible, silk-wound steel core plated with a special nickel alloy for an unbelievably deep and balanced sound with a clear foundation tone. To protect the hardware of your bass, even the strings ends come wound with silk.

Had eerlijk gezegd beter verwacht voor de prijs... De balans tussen de snaren zelf is een beetje vreemd. van .106 naar .070 klonk voor mij toch niet zo fijn. Heel veel body dus op de E snaar, die bij de A snaar wat wegvalt, zelfs de D en G voelden en klonken steviger ... Het contrast was me iets te extreem om aangenaam te kunnen spelen.

Een tweedehands shortscale basgitaartje gekocht voor 5 tientjes.
Opgewaardeerd met deze snaren, bijna net zo duur als de gitaar dus.
Maar....., klinkt nu als een klok! Mooi warm geluid, lekker soepel spelen.
Super wat mij betreft!

Dure snaren (55 euro), maar ik wou ze toch eens proberen: ik zocht een warm, diep geluid voor mijn shortscale. En dat geven ze prima. Je mag de bastonen op de versterker best wat minder laten doorklinken en de mid-tonen wat meer. Dan klinken deze snaren echt heel erg goed.
Ze zijn nogal glad (flat wound) en dik, maar spelen heel gemakkelijk.
Ik heb nog geen idee hoelang ze meegaan, want ik heb ze nog maar 3 weken.
