Als er al een snaar breekt, dan is het meestal de hoge E-snaar. Vaak moest je dan een complete set aanbreken om deze te vervangen en bleef je met een incomplete set zitten. In plaats daarvan is het veel handiger om een paar losse E-snaren als backup achter de hand te hebben. Ideaal!
