The Ernie Ball RPS Slinky series string sets feature what are known as Reinforced Plain Strings. This means that the non-wound strings at the ball-ends are reinforced with a special bronze winding. This significantly reduces breaking, slipping and detuning of the strings. This is why RPS Slinky strings last much longer than conventional string sets.

Extra Slinky

The Extra Slinky is Ernie Ball's thinnest set of strings. This makes the strings even easier to depress, making chords feel much smoother. Ideal for smaller hands and if you don't have much strength. Pressing down during solos is also much easier, thanks to these extremely flexible strings.
