Omdat ik met .010 en .011 speel wilde ik .012 proberen, het geluid wordt er namelijk niet minder van. En het geluid blijkt ook goed te zijn. Ik gebruik ze op een Amerikaanse Fender Stratocaster uit 2001, voornamelijk met het halselement.
Ik was snel aan het dikteverschil gewend maar wat me direct opviel is dat met name de (omwonden) G snaar bij opdrukken totdat de D snaar in de weg zat, bijna geen verschil in toonhoogte gaf. Bij de andere snaren was dat wat beter.
Geen idee of ik een matig setje heb, of dat het merk gewoon zo stug is. Normaal gebruik ik D'Addario maar omdat ik aan het zoeken ben neem ik ook andere merken.
Kortom: prijs goed, geluid goed, speelgemak ook goed, opdrukken minder.
