Featuring a single mini-humbucker, no-nonsense controls and an extra-short, 20.7-inch scale length, the Blackstar Carry-On ST electric guitar is a superb sidekick for roaming guitarists in need of a manageable model. Despite its modest dimensions, this easy-going travel guitar has the feel of a fully-fledged instrument, courtesy of a set of beefy .012 to .054 strings and a lightweight poplar body that combines with a bolt-on maple neck and a laurel fretboard for a balanced foundation sound, just enough sonic punch, and hum-free tone.
