Matt Bellamy, Muse's front man, wanted a T-body guitar that sounded like traditional single-cut model. His vision resulted in a new shape with a new name: the Mattocaster. These guitars are custom-built for Bellamy by top English guitar maker Manson. However, so that every guitarist can get familiar with this exceptional guitar, renowned Korean guitar manufacturer Cort can replicate the original instrument. The result is this Cort Matthew Bellamy Signature.

Cort MBC-1 Matt Bellamy Signature with kill switch

This guitar has a wonderfully lightweight basswood body with a bolt-on maple neck and a 22-fret rosewood fretboard. It is home to a genuine Manson humbucker at the bridge and a single-coil pickup in the neck position, both can be switched with a three-position pickup switch. Additionally, this matte black guitar is fitted with a kill switch, so you can cut the signal, allowing for amazing effects during live performances on stage by rapidly turning the sound of the guitar on and off.

Not exclusive to Muse fans

Like on a single-cut model, the strings of this guitar run over a Tune-o-Matic bridge, in this case to staggered Cort locking tuners. A tone and volume control make this beautifully finished Cort Matt Bellamy Signature complete. Take note, this Cort MBC-1 isn't for Muse fans only! It isn't smothered in outrageous Matt Bells and whistles, and it is an excellently made guitar with enough interesting features for any guitarist playing any type of music.
