General

This swanky Les Paul Custom is the result of a fruitful collaboration between Epiphone and the Gibson Custom Shop, and features classic LP specs combines with CS-style touches, vintage upgrades and modern perks. The core of the build is the mahogany body, which has been securely glued to the comfy '50s Rounded C mahogany neck and the dark ebony fretboard. Deluxe gold-plated hardware and the Gibson-style open book headstock with classic split diamond inlay complete the opulent looks of this Inspired by Gibson model, while the included hardshell case with matching gold interior serves as the fitting cherry on top.

The Epiphone Les Paul Custom: 498T and 490R Humbuckers

The warm foundation sound of this Epiphone-built LP packs just enough bite thanks to the arched maple top and can be amplified via two Gibson-designed pickups: a 498T Hot Alnico bridge humbucker with extra winding for boosted sustain, mids and distortion, plus a 490R Modern Classic neck humbucker for noise-free PAF-style tone. Real CTS potentiometers, Mallory condensers and a Switchcraft output jack and 3-way pickup switch help take care of impeccable sound, while Grover Rotomatic tuners and a solid LockTone bridge firm up the tuning stability.
