Fully decked out with the extra range of a seventh string, the longer reach of a 25.5 inch scale length, and the tight, accurate and varied output of a set of custom Fluence humbuckers, this is the Epiphone Matt Heafy Origins Les Paul Custom. Bearing the same set of upgrades as the six-string edition, the seven-string Signature Origins boasts smooth playability and contemporary voicing, pushing everything right up to date. While the timeless LP body-shaping, body binding, position markers and ebony fretboard have remained untouched, the welcome addition of modern weight-relief polishes off a light and nimble, fast-playing sidekick. This edition of the MKH Origins comes topped with deluxe gold-plated hardware and wrapped up in a Custom Hardshell case.
The Matt Heafy Origins Les Paul Custom 7-String: Feast of Fire
The set of twenty-two medium jumbo frets and the 12 inch fretboard radius provide friendly and familiar playability fully backed up by the ultra-fast feel of a SpeedTaper D neck carve coupled with a set-in construction and modern contoured heel. The mounted LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge and LockTone Stop Bar provide the perfect resting place for your playing hand, while extra tuning stability is assured by a set of Grover Locking Rotomatic tuners.
Fishman MKH Fluence 7-String Humbuckers
Besides the extended range of the extra string, Leafy has set this guitar up with the elastic voicing that can only be delivered by a pair of his own exclusive MKH Fluence humbuckers - courtesy of Fishman. Both capped with soapbar-style covers, the ceramic edition sits at the bridge and can be flipped between a super-tight active or passive output or a nicely overwound single-coil-flavoured sound, while the Alnico edition planted at the neck shapes a more rounded passive and active double-coil output as well as a tasty hifi-style single-coil sound. Switching voicings is as easy as pushing or pulling the tone pots or popping out the volume pots to split the coils

But far to much fred buzz on low B and low E string, and dead spots on the fingerboard.
Nut slots not cutted in the angle the strings are bending.
With a good luthier and a 150 à 200 euro extra costs, it wil make a great guitar.
