The Epiphone LP Custom has been set up with a stack of decent updates to polish off a fully future-proofed instrument; specially tuned for metal and rock guitarists who prefer to keep things heavy whether spinning complex leads, thick riffs, or flawless cleans. While the body of this special edition LP sticks to the classic recipe, it features tactical modern weight-relief, keeping things light, manageable, and gig-ready, while the medium jumbo frets and 12 inch fretboard radius come backed by a SpeedTaper D neck carve to provide a friendly, familiar, and ultra-fast playing feel.

Fishman MKH Fluence Humbuckers

A big fan of the Fluence pickup range, Matt Heafy has naturally opted for a set of custom-developed and exclusively voiced MKH Fishman Fluence humbuckers. The ceramic edition sits at the bridge and can be flipped between a super-tight active or passive output or a nicely overwound single-coil-flavoured sound. Planted at the neck, the Alnico edition offers a more rounded passive and active double-coil output as well as a tasty hifi-style single-coil sound. Switching voicings is as easy as pushing or pulling the tone pots or popping out the volume pots to split the coils, while firm tuning us absolutely assured by a set of Grover Locking Rotomatic tuners teamed up with an Epiphone Locktone Tune-O-Matic bridge and Stop Bar tailpiece.
