General
The Horizon-8 FR Black Satin is a serious choice for guitarists who want to make full use of the extensive range of an 8-string guitar. The 47 mm thick alder body with multi-binding is combined with a three-piece hard maple neck and an ebony fingerboard with 24 frets. The 666 mm scale length and 55 mm wide locking nut are tailored to the wider string range. The neck-through-body construction and heel-less joint ensure a direct response and comfortable access to the higher positions. The black satin finish with white binding gives the guitar a sleek and modern look.
Horizon-8 FR: maximum control over eight strings
The Horizon-8 FR combines a Floyd Rose 1000 Series 8-string tremolo with two Seymour Duncan pickups for a powerful and defined tone. The SENTIENT-8 in the neck position delivers a warm, balanced sound, whilst the NAZGÛL-8 at the bridge provides a crisp attack and a solid punch. This combination is therefore ideally suited to modern metal and low-tuned riffs. With master volume, master tone and a 3-way pickup selector switch, the controls remain straightforward. The GOTOH SG360-07 MG-T locking tuners also help to ensure stable tuning.
