The LTD EC-401 VF DMZ FCSB is a durable guitar with a tasteful finish and a delightfully warm, open vintage sound. Its sound is partly due to its mahogany body and DiMarzio humbucker pickups. It is the perfect guitar for blues, rock and metal players. In addition to a vintage sound the EC-401VF also features a traditional finish: Faded Cherry Sunburst. The semi-transparent lacquer really brings out the beautiful tiger-like pattern of the Flamed Maple top.

Construction of the LTD EC-401 VF Faded Cherry Sunburst (DiMarzio)

The LTD EC-401 VF Faded Cherry Sunburst's (DiMarzio) mahogany body gives it a deep, warm, open sound with lots of sustain, while its rosewood fretboard and maple top give this guitar edgy trebles and mids. The mahogany neck has a U profile and is relatively slender, making it smooth to play. Reaching the right positions and bending the strings is surprisingly easy thanks to the extra-jumbo frets.

DiMarzio pickups

The DiMarzio PAF 36th Anniversary pickups produce a rugged vintage sound and were modelled after the ones on Larry DiMarzio's 1959 LP® guitar. Each pickup is actually two pickups. The power of two magnetic fields ensures lengthier sustain and produces a highly defined sound and a moderate output. To ensure a rock-solid intonation this guitar is equipped with Grover machine heads and a Tune-O-Matic bridge.
