General

The Schecter Hellraiser Hybrid C-8 Trans Black Burst combines the familiar characteristics of the Hellraiser series with a refined look and modern playability. This 8-string electric guitar features a mahogany body with a beautiful Quilted Maple top. The Trans Black Burst finish beautifully highlights the characteristic wood grain, whilst the Black Chrome hardware lends the guitar a rugged look. Thanks to the eight strings, you’ll enjoy an exceptionally wide tonal range, including deep bass tones. The glued-in neck with Ultra Access also ensures a solid construction and comfortable access to the higher frets.

Active EMG pickups for modern tones

The Hellraiser Hybrid C-8 is fitted with active EMG humbuckers that have been specially tuned to deliver a slightly softer and more versatile character than the pickups in the standard Hellraiser series. The bridge position features an EMG 57-8H with a Brushed Black Chrome Cover, whilst the neck position is fitted with an EMG 66-8H with the same striking finish. This combination delivers a powerful, clear tone with sufficient definition for the low frequencies of the extra strings. This makes this Schecter particularly well-suited to modern metal and other heavy music styles where a tight and powerful sound is desired.

Comfortable neck and reliable hardware

The maple neck features an Ultra Thin C-profile and is joined to the body via a glued set-neck construction with Ultra Access. The ebony fingerboard features 24 X-Jumbo frets and offers ample space for the eight strings thanks to the 54 mm nut width. The extra-long 28-inch scale length of 711 mm contributes to good string tension and a tight response from the lower strings. A Hipshot Hardtail (.125) bridge with a string-through-body construction ensures sustain and stability. The Schecter Locking tuning machines help keep the guitar reliably in tune.
