The American Vintage II Series is home to various fresh-yet-accurate takes on vintage guitars that have a special place in the rich history of legendary guitar-builder, Fender. This is the 1963 Telecaster, which features a round-laminated, 7.25"-radius rosewood fretboard for a slightly warmer twang than its predecessors were able to bring. Again hewn from alder, the accurately-contoured body has been combined with a time-honoured 1963 C-profile maple neck, 21 vintage tall frets and a vintage-style butt adjust type truss rod.
So the wood can breathe and help shape a natural authentic sound, Fender have dipped the body and neck of this electric guitar in nitro lacquer - just as they did back in the day. Meanwhile, to ensure you're getting historically accurate tone after you plug it into your amp, this '63 Tele comes armed with two Pure Vintage '63 Single-Coil Tele pickups and a classic set of controls.
Take a closer look at this American Vintage II Tele and you'll spot the smaller but no less important details, like the famous clay position markers and the Pure Vintage 3-barrel-saddle bridge which has a clear effect on the familiar foundation sound as well as the playing feel. The 1963 Telecaster even has period-correct single-line tuners and comes wrapped up inside a deluxe brown guitar case as standard.
