Product information

General

The Fender Custom Shop Limited Edition 1950 Double Esquire is based on one of Leo Fender's early fifties prototypes and incorporates various interesting original features. In addition to a Heavy Relic finish, this exclusive solidbody boasts a Faded Aged Nocaster Blonde colour scheme, two Custom Shop Hand-Wound '50/'51 Blackguard pickups, and a two-piece select ash body complete with a period-correct offset seam and a single-ply black fenol pickguard.

The Limited Edition 1950 Double Esquire Heavy Relic: Old-School Specs, Satisfying Feel

Based on its specifications, this Custom Shop creation doesn't just give you an insight into the story of the first Telecasters, but feels remarkably comfortable. Combined with the 1950 Blackguard Back-Shape neck profile, the 7.25 to 9.5-inch compound fretboard radius results in supreme playability across the board, while a Blend pot takes the place of the tone control so you can dial in the perfect balance between the pickups, no matter the situation. Also, since this axe is the real deal, Fender throw in a deluxe hardshell case, a matching guitar strap and a certificate of authenticity.
