By using the Stratocaster to exhibit his innovative, versatile musical talents, Jimi Hendrix made the model incredibly popular, after all. Jimi Hendrix's custom to turn his guitars upside down was key to creating his unique sound. He was a left-handed guitarist, but his father pushed him to play right-handed. Whenever dad Al Hendrix turned his back, however, young James Marshall turned his guitar on its axis and changed the string nut and strings. To emulate the look of an inverted guitar, Fender fitted this Fender Artist Signature Strat with a reversed headstock and bridge pickup. Hele fijne no-nonsens strat, lekkere gladde hals, gitaar klinkt als een klok, heel helder. Wel beetje jammer dat de pickups geen omgekeerde wikkelingen hebben, de singlecoil-zoem blijft dus in de tussenstand ook hoorbaar.
